Dierks Bentley is continuing to take his career to new heights. The singer-songwriter earned yet another Top 5 hit with his latest single, 'Drunk on a Plane,' while selling out shows all over the country on his Riser Tour.

'Drunk on a Plane,' the third single on Bentley's No.1 'Riser' album, marks Bentley's 16th Top 5 hit. The Arizona native, who co-wrote the song with hit tunesmiths Josh Kear and Chris Tompkins, says he knew right away the song was one fans would instantly latch on to.

“I have never been jilted at the altar, but I have had a marriage proposal rejected….all you can do is pray there’s a good return policy for the ring, get drunk and carry on,” he explains.  “Whether I have the band with me on stage or it’s just me and my guitar, the fans love this song, and they catch on to the choruses immediately. It’s a fun song, but when you really listen, there’s also an underlying lonesomeness which is what makes it different that a lot of the other uptempo songs I’ve put out.”

Bentley kicked off his Riser Tour on May 9, and has played all over the country, including recent sold-out shows at Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheater, Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre and San Diego's Sleep Train Amphitheatre. But perhaps the Arizona native's biggest night was his recent performance at the Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, where he performed for more than 17,000 fans.

"For those of you who don't know me, you're participating in the best night of my life right now," Bentley told the crowd. He then dedicated both of his recent gold-certified singles,'I Hold On' and 'Home' to his local friends, as well as to the families of the fallen Granite Mountain Hot Shots, who died one year ago in the Yarnell Hill Fires.

Bentley's Riser Tour continues with shows in California and Oregon this week. See a complete list of his upcoming concerts here.
