Dierks Bentley took a break from his co-hosting duties at the 2016 ACM Awards to perform "Somewhere on a Beach."

Surrounded by audience members, Bentley, clad in a blue T-shirt, performed the hit tune, even briefly putting his arm around someone while singing. With a fire burning on stage, Bentley remained surrounded by his fans throughout the entire song.

"Somewhere on a Beach" is from Bentley's upcoming Black album.

“This album is about ALL phases of a relationship, including the breakups. “Beach” is a pretty blunt take on that wild rebound we’ve all had or maybe imagined having,” the singer explains. “The carefree attitude is exactly the spirit we wanted to bring out on the road this year.”

Bentley has already cracked several well-received jokes with his co-host, Luke Bryan, although he admitted he was all nerves leading up to tonight's ceremony.

“I’m always looking for those things that make me feel a little uneasy,” Bentley told The Boot. “Certainly being a host — which I’ve never done before, [and] with Luke, you never know what he’s going to say — will be a good challenge, so we’ll see how it turns out.”

“I’m taking it seriously," he added. "I want to have fun with it and, at the same time, be loose. I have a lot of respect for people who have done it in the past.”

Bentley will have plenty of chances to perform the song over the next few months. The singer is embarking on his Somewhere on a Beach Tour this month, with Randy Houser and Cam serving as his opening acts.

Black will be released on May 27. The record is available for pre-order on Amazon and iTunes.
