Dierks Bentley's career is soaring to new heights -- literally. The singer has just released the hysterical video for his latest single, 'Drunk on a Plane,' which marks the first time a country music video has appeared on the comedy website Funny or Die.

The singer partnered with the website's founders, Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, to make the video, which shows Bentley flying the plane while sporting a mustache and turning the aircraft into a party.

Wes Edwards -- who has directed several of Bentley's previous videos, including '5-1-5-0' and 'Tip It on Back' -- directed this hilarious video as well.

"We added some of this footage to the screens for tour, and I have a hard time not turning my back to the crowd to watch it myself…so many hilarious moments," Bentley says.  "There are a few subplots working underneath the main story that totally crack me up…if you watch it a couple times, you start to pick up on more funny details. Wes did an incredible job…again!"

'Drunk on a Plane' is the third single from Bentley's No. 1 'Riser' album. While he took a light-hearted approach with his latest tune, the 38-year-old says the record covers a wide spectrum of emotions.

“I think every record I’ve made has always been a Polaroid snapshot of where I was at that place in time when I made it,” he explains. “But this particular album just has a lot of scenery in the picture. There’s a lot that’s gone on the last two years -- more so than any other time in my life. I mean, you look at some of the bookends of making this record . . . my dad passing away at the start of the process, and then my son, Knox, being born at the end of the process. So it was unexpected.”

Bentley kicked off his Riser Tour on May 9. He will head to Virginia and New Jersey this weekend, with Chris Young, Jon Pardi and Chase Rice serving as his opening acts. See a list of his upcoming shows here.
