Dierks Bentley and his wife Cassidy have welcomed a son into their growing family.

The singer-songwriter broke the happy news via Twitter late Wednesday night (Oct. 9).

Bentley announced the pregnancy in April, and revealed that Cassidy was expecting a boy in June. The couple, who have been married for nearly eight years, already had two daughters; five-year-old Evie, and two-year-old Jordan. Knox Bentley is their first son.

The singer won't have a lot of time at home with his wife and growing family right away. His web site shows concerts still scheduled for Thursday (Oct. 10), Friday (Oct. 11) and Saturday (Oct. 12) before he gets a week-long break. The rest of his year has only sporadic dates scheduled.

Bentley is slated to release a new album, 'Riser,' late this year or in early 2014. His latest single, 'I Hold On,' is currently in the Top 40. The singer will also headline one of four nights at the Tropical Nights: Boots in the Sand getaway in Mexico in February.
