Darius Rucker has likely never laughed as hard in an interview as he did Wednesday on the late-night E! talk show, 'Chelsea Lately.' Show host Chelsea Handler greeted the country singer with, "I like your head!" Then she caught him off guard by telling him she heard he "cried like a little b----" when his album, 'Learn to Live,' debuted at the top of the charts.

"I was doing an interview with this guy and he said, 'I heard you went No. 1.' And I went, 'What?' And he said, 'Yeah, we just got this today. You went No. 1 this week,'" Rucker recalled. "And we kept the interview going, and I was fine. But then he went, 'Hey man, you're gonna cry aren't ya?' And then I was like a little girl!"

Rucker admits making the leap to country music after finding phenomenal success in rock with Hootie and the Blowfish was a little risky. He says he couldn't believe the doors that opened for him as a solo country artist.

"Not everybody's Britney," he told Handler. "Not everybody gets ten chances."

Up next for Rucker is an opening slot on Brad Paisley's 'Paisley Party Tour,' alongside Capitol Records labelmate Dierks Bentley, whom Handler called "a tall drink of water."

"Yeah, he's tall," Rucker responded. "But he ain't a chocolate milk!"
