Golf enthusiast Darius Rucker will host the Academy of Country Music Lifting Lives Celebrity Golf Classic leading up to the 47th Annual ACM Awards on Sunday, April 1. The event, which is back after a three-year hiatus, raises funds and awareness for the ACM Lifting Lives' Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund, which assists those in need in the music industry.

This isn't Darius' first time working with the ACM Lifting Lives organization. During last year's awards ceremony, the South Carolina native performed 'Music From the Heart,' an original song penned by campers from the ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp. The singer-songwriter was even joined by the children on stage, as a way to raise awareness about those with developmental disabilities.

"When I was up there, I just felt every ounce of love that these guys have," Darius told The Boot following the show. "I love these guys ... They're awesome to hang out with; we laugh all the time. We're always high-fiving and hugging. These are my friends. This is my band."

The golf classic takes place Saturday (March 31) at TPC Las Vegas, a par 71, 7,063-yard course. It's followed by the ACM Awards Sunday (April 1), which air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas at 8:00 PM ET on CBS.

Darius will remain in town until April 2, when he tapes his performance for the 'ACM Presents: Lionel Richie and Friends - In Concert' special. The singer-songwriter will sing 'Stuck on You' with Lionel for the telecast, which airs April 13 on CBS.
