Danielle Bradbery admits that prior to entering 'The Voice' earlier this year, most of her performances were only before small crowds, because her stage fright was so overwhelming.

Thankfully, the Texan says that somehow, singing on stage in front of millions of viewers each week helped cure her nerves that had once held her back.

“Before my performances, of course, I’d have that regular nervous habit of having the butterflies. But every time I go on stage, and just start up my song, I automatically had this comfortable feeling of being on stage,” she says (quote via Country Music is Love). “Something just clicked. It was crazy. I’ve always had stage fright. Ever since I was little, I didn’t really wanna sing in front of anybody, didn’t like the eyes on me. I was so scared.”

The 17-year-old, who became the Season 4 winner on the hit NBC TV show, credits her coach, Blake Shelton, with boosting her confidence as well..

“I guess as I grew up and this experience with ‘The Voice’ has really, really changed on my confidence, and Blake has helped me out with that, too.”

Bradbery's self-titled debut album will be released on Nov. 19. She will hit the road with Brad Paisley for several of his Beat This Summer Tour dates this fall. See all of her upcoming shows here.
