Dailey & Vincent had plenty to celebrate this weekend (March 10-12): The bluegrass duo was not only inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday night (March 11), but they also have announced a new record deal and forthcoming new album.

After being invited to join the Opry on Dec. 30, by Marty Stuart, during their 100th Grand Ole Opry appearance, Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent officially became members of the hallowed country music organization during Saturday night's Opry show. They were inducted by fellow members Old Crow Medicine Show and Jeannie Seely.

“I had the honor of introducing Dailey & Vincent for their first Opry appearance. I thought to myself that night, ‘I hope one day I get to see them become members of the Opry one day, because they epitomize everything the Opry is, onstage and off,'" Seely recalled onstage. Added OCMS' Ketch Secor, "They honor the traditions and respect their elders, but most of all, they entertain. Tonight they join the ranks of country music’s greatest entertainers."

The Grand Ole Opry Through the Years

While both Dailey and Vincent have achieved considerable solo success, the two artists are best known for their work together, as Dailey & Vincent, often backed by a host of skilled musicians, including mandolin master Jeff Parker, fiddler Patrick McAvinue, banjo player Jessie Baker and guitarist Aaron “Tex” McCune. With songs such as “This Old House” and “When I Stop Dreaming,” Dailey & Vincent have been delighting bluegrass, gospel and country music fans for almost a decade.

“Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent have been proclaimed the best in their field across the board, winning awards and media acclaim for their songs, their musicianship and their one-of-a-kind live performances," says Grand Ole Opry General Manager Sally Williams. "We look forward to Dailey & Vincent being active, beloved Opry members as the Opry looks toward the century mark and beyond.”

On Friday (March 10), Dailey & Vincent announced via a press release that they have signed a new deal with the Nashville-based production, publishing and record company Dreamlined Entertainment. On March 31, they will release a new album, Patriots & Poets, with the label; the project will feature collaborations with Steve Martin, Bela Fleck and more.
