Craig Morgan Rushes to Aid Accident Victims

Facebook

In a scenario most Nashville publicists could only dream of, country star Craig Morgan rushed to the aid of several injured drivers after a collision on a Tennessee highway on Sunday morning (June 9).

The ‘This Ole Boy’ singer and avid outdoorsman is also a trained EMT, and he was on his way back home from a show in Texas when his bus came upon an accident involving three tractor trailers. The accident took place on I-40 in Humphreys County in Tennessee, which is adjacent to Dickson County, where Morgan resides.

According to Nashville’s NewsChannel 5, Morgan and two of his crew members, Jerry Hines and Joey Greer, ran to the scene to help. The singer put out a small fire, assisted emergency responders, and helped care for the drivers.

“He responded and did exactly what he had been taught to do and was a huge help,” Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis says. “This is just another example of the kind of guy he is, he loves doing things for others.”

All of the injuries sustained in the accident turned out to be minor.

Morgan — a former Army Ranger and Assistant Deputy Sherriff — is no stranger to stepping in to help people in need. In 2011 he ran into a burning house in his hometown of Dickson to rescue two kids, then helped put out the fire.
