Why We Dig Him:
Craig is the perfect combination of talent, tenacity and patience. The Lyons, Ga. native started playing piano when he was just seven years old, performing in his local church until he graduated from high school. He continued making music throughout his teen and young adult years, winning the Jimmy Dean/True Value Country Showdown both at age 15 and again at age 18, in spite of tragically losing both his father and sister just as he was forming his career path. "This was a very trying time for me and I felt that if I didn't follow through with my music, I might not be here today," Craig says.

Keeping his eye on the ultimate goal of making a living through his music, Craig formed a band called Out of the Blue, playing gigs throughout southern Georgia. But Craig didn't want to get stuck in the rut of simply being a cover band, so he dissolved Out of the Blue and made the bold move to Nashville. He quickly found work in Music City playing for country icon Tracy Byrd, while also performing his own music at a famous downtown honkey-tonk called The Stage.

Ultimately, his daring moves paid off. Catching the ear of Bigger Picture Group's Michael Powers, Craig's melodious tenor voice and captivating stage presence also impressed BPG's Keith Stegall, whose lengthy list of producing credits include Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, John Anderson and Terri Clark. And the rest, as they say, is history. Three days later, Craig was singing demos for Keith and began writing and recording for the company. It is, he gushes, a dream come true.

"I am a big fan of the 'Class of '89, which includes Clint Black, Shenandoah and Alan Jackson. So, to have Keith as my producer after hearing all of those Jackson classics is something that makes me pinch myself daily," he says.

The happily married father of two (including a brand new baby born last month) is currently promoting his first single, 'Family Man,' as well as a five-song EP while finishing up his full album.
