Colt Ford's nickname should be Mr. Goodtime, because as he showed fans at Colorado's 2015 Country Jam, he knows how to bring a helluva good time. With his gun mic stand and the familiar American flag attached to it, Ford made the fest's main stage his domain for his hour-plus set.

Dressed in a black cowboy hat and jeans, Ford looked around the packed crowd standing in 100-degree temperatures. "Man I didn't know it got so hot out here; you skinny people know how I feel all the time now," the big guy — who recently lost more than fifty pounds — joked.

He launched into "Answer to No One" and continued pulling out more and more hits, including "The High Life," during which his electric guitarist broke it down at the front of the stage.

"Did y'all come to party tonight?" Ford asked fans, who came from the party in the campgrounds to party at the stage. As they cheered and raised their glasses, the singer dove in: "Country girl shake them hips / DJ make that record skip / This a straight-up redneck rager / Doing body shots of Yager / Let er' rip." That song induced hip-shaking by men and women alike before Ford turned it down a bit for "Back," a duet with Jake Owen from Ford's fourth album, Declaration of Independence.

He included the gold-certified "Drivin' Around Song" in his set (which he recorded with Jason Aldean) and then dedicated "Workin' On" to "men and women who do everything for this flag right here," raising his hat in a salute to the military.

After delivering "Ride Thru the Country," "Chicken and Biscuits" and a rousing "Washed in the Mud," Ford asked the crowd one question: "Y'all care if we crank it up a little bit louder?" Fans went wild in enthusiasm and he enthusiastically dove into Eminem's "Lose Yourself" — a show highlight.

Ford's final song, "Dirt Road," was the cherry on top of a phenomenal, and phenomenally hot, set. He even brought up a sweet little guy he met at meet and greet. The cutie (who was around seven years old) sang the song with Ford and fans rushed the stage to catch a glimpse of the burly Ford with the kid.

"I wouldn't be sh-- without you guys!" the star said before his exit.

The first headliner has been announced for Country Jam 2016: Brad Paisley!
