Clint Black has released "Time for That" as his latest single. The song is from his brand-new album, On Purpose, which was released on Sept. 25 on Blacktop / Thirty Tigers.

The uptempo tune is one of 14 tracks on the new record, which is Black's first new disc since he released Drinkin’ Songs and Other Logic in 2005.

“Musically, On Purpose is right where I want to be,” says Black. “I pushed myself hard for this album, doing more of the guitar work, even playing slide guitar for the first time.”

The title of the new record is derived from the project's second track, "Better and Worse."

“It represents my attitude towards life, in that it’s never easy to ‘go your own way,’ but the rewards are greater when you follow your heart,” Black explains. “I know that’s what my fans expect from me, and I hope that they hear that in the songs on this album.”

On Purpose is Black's first release on Thirty Tigers, a label that Black is happy to be a part of.

“Thirty Tigers has an independent spirit,” Black explains. “They believe in allowing artists the creative freedom to create music we can all be passionate about. What’s more, I value and appreciate that their focus lies squarely where it belongs — on the music.”

On Purpose is available via iTunes and Amazon.
