Clint Black has released a lyric video for "Time for That." The song is the debut single from his recent On Purpose album.

The tune features lines like, “I spend all my time making time to work on life’s assembly line / Trying to find one more minute / On track for a heart attack / If I don’t do some kicking back / Now I think it’s high time I make a little more time for that,” and the lyric video shows a day in the life of a working man in a busy city, including riding the subway and working in an office, while people on the street hold signs with the lyrics on them.

“I think everyone will see a bit of themselves in this video,” Black tells Taste of Country. “I know I do! It makes me feel like doing a little kicking back!”

On Purpose, which is Black's first studio album since Drinkin’ Songs and Other Logic in 2005, shows the 53-year-old's mindset after more than 25 years as an artist.

“It represents my attitude towards life, in that it’s never easy to ‘go your own way,’ but the rewards are greater when you follow your heart,” Black explains. “I know that’s what my fans expect from me, and I hope that they hear that in the songs on this album.

“Musically, On Purpose is right where I want to be,” he adds. “I pushed myself hard for this album, doing more of the guitar work, even playing slide guitar for the first time.”

On Purpose is currently available for purchase on Amazon and iTunes.
