Later this summer, ‘90s country icon Clint Black will return to the road for a newly announced slate of tour dates. The trek will take Black across the United States, and will keep him on the road through the end of the year.

In support of his newest studio album, On Purpose, Black will perform at venues in St. Louis, Mo.; Asheville, N.C.; and more. His 15 new tour dates begin in June, with a stop in Andover, Kan., and run through mid-December, concluding in Santa Ynez, Calif.

“Performing live in concert is the most rewarding part of my career,” says Black in a statement. “It’s a chance, every night, to connect with people through music and laughter in an exchange with the audience that goes beyond just playing music. For all of the travel and time away from our families, it’s that connection with the audience that makes it all worthwhile.”

Back in November, Black released a music video for his song “Still Calling It News,” which appears on On Purpose and pokes fun at cable news networks, complete with a ticker of the song’s lyrics at the bottom of the frame. According to Black, he didn’t intend for the song to be “taken as a political statement, but rather as a way to illustrate how our focus has been steered away from the important issues facing our country today.”
