A bout of strep throat has forced Chris Young to postpone a date on his 2015 I'm Comin' Over World Tour.

On Thursday (Dec. 3), Young posted to his Facebook page that his show scheduled for Thursday night at the Amsoil Arena in Duluth, Minn., was being postponed due to his illness.

"I never want to disappoint you, but I've been advised by doctors that I cannot perform today," the singer writes. "... Again, I'm really sorry to let you down, but I plan to see you early in 2016. Love you guys!"

Young's Facebook post notes that the new date "will be announced in the next day." Previously purchased tickets will be honored, and refunds are available at the point of purchase for those who cannot make the new date.

The I'm Comin' Over World Tour was originally scheduled to run through Saturday (Dec. 5), but in early November, Young announced additional dates, scheduled for January and February of 2016. More information about the trek can be found on Young’s website.

It's been an exciting few weeks for Young: His newest album, I’m Comin’ Over, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and No. 5 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. The disc's title track has spent multiple weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and has also been certified gold.
