This weekend, the ACM Awards will take place in Las Vegas with a myriad of events drawing fans and country singers from all over. Chris Janson will be among them, but his Sin City agenda doesn't include seeing the elaborate stage shows or visiting the world-famous bars, restaurants and casinos.

"I like to go to the MGM buffet and I like to sit in my hotel room and watch TV. I hate Vegas," Chris admits to The Boot. "I don't gamble, but I'm looking forward to going this time. It's going to be awesome. I'm playing the 9:00 PM slot on Saturday as part of the ACM Weekend at Fremont Street. It's going to be killer. What an honor to be playing the ACMs."

This year's Fremont Street Experience free concerts are being headlined by Gary Allan and Jake Owen, and include -- in addition to Chris -- Randy Houser, Jana Kramer, Kip Moore, Joe Nichols and Sunny Sweeney.

"That is the one thing I like about Vegas, being engulfed in country music and wherever country music is is where I want to be," Chris continues. "It's a town for show business so I think it makes sense that country fans and performers can all come together there."

Before you give him too hard of a time for his overall dislike of Vegas, consider what the "Better I Don't" singer has to say about the writing of his new tune. "It was a true story," he explains of the song, which he co-wrote with his wife, Kelly Roland, and Pat Bunch. "I had the title 'Better I Don't' and we decided to talk about my past, and we wrote it in 45 minutes. It's really about this chapter of my life and knowing better than doing things I had done."

Chris will perform his current single and tunes from his upcoming album during his set at ACM Weekend at Fremont Street. Get details about the event here.
