Charlie Daniels is known for his award-winning music, but now the singer is releasing an audio reading of the children's classic, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas,' just in time for the holidays.

“When 'Twas The Night Before Christmas' is read, if by some magic we could see into the imagination of those listening, we would most likely see a thousand different mental images of the 'Jolly Old Elf' dressed all in red from his head to his toe," Daniels explains. "This beloved old poem has nurtured our personal perceptions of Santa Claus, symbolized the secular aspect of Christmas, transcended generations, and it still invokes visions of sugar plums and plants a question in even the most cynical mind about a midnight visit from a mythical sleigh and eight tiny reindeer."

The 77-year-old is definitely helping people get in the holiday spirit. He recently hosted his annual Christmas 4 Kids concert, which raises money for children in need in Tennessee. The country music legend will use the money raised to help take more than 400 children shopping, receive a new winter coat, and have lunch with Santa and Mrs. Claus later this month.

Daniels' reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' is available on all digital outlets, including Amazon and iTunes.
