Charlie Daniels Shares Christmas Wishes With Fans [WATCH]

Charlie Daniels has a special Christmas message for his fans.

In a video Christmas card, Daniels -- seated in front of a fireplace and wearing a casual black T-shirt and baseball hat -- wishes his fans a Merry Christmas and urges them to remember that "Jesus is the reason for the season -- that is what it's all about, Charlie Brown." A slideshow of Christmas images and photos of Daniels performing and with his family during the holiday season follows, accompanying the country icon's version of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

Although Daniels is nearly 80 years old, 2016 will be another busy year for him. After all, he tells The Boot that he's not the type for retirement.

“My work is not so physically demanding that I can’t do it at my advanced age. And there’s not another way I want to spend my life,” Daniels explains. “I don’t want to chase a golf ball around for the next how many years the Lord gives me. I love fishing, but I don’t want to go fishing every day. I want to play music every day. I’ll stick with what I’m doing. I’m just thankful to the good Lord that I’m making a living doing something I love so much.”
