Charles Kelley's The Driver Tour included two stops in Nashville, on Tuesday (May 3) and Wednesday (May 4), at 3rd & Lindsley -- and the special guests showed up. During the Wednesday night show, Kacey Musgraves joined Kelley onstage to perform the song "Leaving Nashville."

"Living Nashville" is the final song on Kelley's recent solo project, The Driver. Its lyrics tell the story of a Music City songwriter who's unwilling to give up on the dream; the tune is sad but hopeful at the same time.

“This song was actually written by a couple songwriters, Abe Stoklasa and Donovan Woods, and it’s about the struggles as a writer in Nashville — ‘One day, you’re the king, the next, you’re not,’” Kelley explains. “You may go a year without having a cut, and then the phone starts ringing.”

Musgraves wasn't Kelley's only special guest on Wednesday night: Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay also came out to perform their song "The Driver." Readers can see video of the performance below.

On Tuesday night, Cassadee Pope joined Kelley onstage. The two performed "I Wish You Were Here," another of The Driver's tracks; the album version features guest vocals from Miranda Lambert.

Kelley's final The Driver Tour stop is scheduled for Friday (May 6), in Athens, Ga. Additional information is available on his official website.
