Celebrity New Year’s: Party Plans & Resolutions of the Stars

So long, 2012! The Boot rounds up quotes from your favorite country stars about their 2013 resolutions, New Year's Eve plans ... and how they'll nurse the aftermath of the celebrations on New Year's Day.

Luke Bryan always gets a bit nostalgic on the last day of the year. "My best New Year's Eve is definitely when my wife and I started dating," he notes. "We started dating right before Christmas, and we went on a trip down to Florida and met some friends. And her birthday is New Year's Eve. We celebrated it that night. It was just a great night."

Kristen Kelly spends most of her time working, which is why she's especially looking forward to a night off. "It's definitely a night that I would like to go out and spend with friends and celebrate. It's a fun night. It's the beginning of a new year, and it's the closing of one chapter of my life and the beginning of a new one, and it's always fun to be out and celebrating if I'm not working."

Eric Church knows he will over-indulge on New Year's Eve, but he isn't worried about feeling bad on Jan. 1. "The best hangover cure -- I've got two," he shares. "One is 5-hour Energy [bottles], because of all the B-vitamins that are in it. You can start pounding those, and it's either gonna work or It's gonna keep you up and prolong your misery. But the other one I have is just take two Advil and a beer in the morning. Hair of the dog, man -- that works every time."

His second cure might work for his labelmate, Dierks Bentley, as well. "I think Jan. 1 is universally accepted as a dog," he says. "So a little hair of the dog, I guess. But just ... water and stay on the couch. There's no real sure-fire cure for that."

Kacey Musgraves has a slightly more healthy tip she plans on using if her end-of-the-year celebration gets a little carried away. "Coconut water is a major help with hangovers and also, a lot of times we go and eat Vietnamese fuh," she explains. "It's a soup, and it's got this awesome broth. You can get different things in it ... it's almost like a chicken noodle soup. That's good for hangovers, too. That, sleep, Tylenol, coconut water and just water, in general. And when you're drinking, have your alcohol, drink a little bit of water, drink some more alcohol, drink some water."

Justin Moore doesn't plan on making any last-minute resolutions for the new year. "I usually don't make resolutions because I usually break them," he explains to GAC. "Anything that I figure I'm going to fail at, I don't generally do. I'm too prideful. The only thing that I do knowing that I suck at it is golf."

Hunter Hayes has one goal for the next 12 months, but since he is the opening act on Carrie Underwood's Blown Away tour, we're guessing he may not have much luck with it. "I think I'm going to try to get more sleep," he says. "Eat healthy and get more sleep, because I'm still in that crazy all day/all night making music mode!"

Kip Moore will be by himself on Dec. 31, since it falls in the middle of a two-week solo vacation to Hawaii over the New Year. "I'm doing it rough. I booked a one-bedroom for a week, and then I'm gonna camp out for a week," he tells Country Weekly. "I've got a little moped waiting on me. I'm gonna go surf for two weeks and backpack. I'm gonna go to an island I haven't been to yet."

Gary Allan plans on ringing in 2013 by performing in Sin City. "Everything happens in Vegas," he explains. "It's the craziest thing you've ever seen. If you've been to Vegas [and] if you haven't been on New Year's, it's way different. There's like a half a million people in the street that just can't get into anything. It's stupid packed. This year, we're playing in Mandalay Bay. We're playing at the House of Blues, and the last couple of times we did it, you could buy a ticket to get into like 5 or 6 different events and just kinda cruise to the different bars. [It's] absolutely nuts, just packed and the biggest party of the year."

Several other artists will also ring in the new year behind a microphone. Taylor Swift and Jason Aldean will both perform for "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve," hosted by Ryan Seacrest. Florida Georgia Line will perform to a sold-out crowd at Boondocks in Illinois. Lee Brice will play at the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas, while Willie Nelson will play shows on Dec. 30 and 31 for Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas. Little Big Town will wrap up their unforgettable year with a show at Wild Bill's in Duluth, Ga.
