Carrie Underwood will be singing the Sunday Night Football theme for the third time during the 2015-2016 season, and NBC has released a trailer that gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the recent video shoot.

The short sneak peek clip shows Underwood, as well as NFL stars such as Clay Matthews, Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson, on set during the June filming; they goof around, record their parts of the clip and hang out. The video also features snippets of Underwood singing the SNF theme song, "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night." The trailer made its debut in AMC, Cinemark and Regal Entertainment Group theaters across the country on Aug. 14, as part of National CineMedia's FirstLook pre-show programming.

Underwood first took over Sunday Night Football duties in 2013, from fellow country star Faith Hill, and was very glad to be asked back again last year. During her second year, Underwood filmed a special version of the theme song for the 2015 Super Bowl, called “Waiting All Day for a Super Bowl Fight.”

“I love football. I’m honored they asked me to kick it off,” she says. “Hopefully when people hear the song, they’ll just feel ready for the big game!”

Fans will first see Underwood’s new version of the SNF opening theme on Sept. 10, when the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the New England Patriots on NBC.

Thursday (Aug. 20) is going to be a big day for Underwood: At 5PM ET, the singer will participate in a Facebook chat, to make a big announcement and answer questions from her fans; she will also appear in a segment of Entertainment Tonight, which airs at 7:30PM ET.
