Grand Ole Opry member Carrie Underwood will take the Opry stage Friday, Oct. 2, during a special segment to join the fight against breast cancer. During both of the superstar's performances that night, the legendary stage will "go pink." Carrie will flip a switch to turn the familiar Opry backdrop pink in support of two groups: Women Rock for the Cure and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Carrie will be joined by other performers during the special night, including Terri Clark, whose mother has been battling cancer since 2007. Other artists are expected to be announced soon. The Opry is also planning a number of special activities to recognize breast cancer survivors and spotlight the ongoing fight against the disease.

Tickets for the shows are on sale now at the Grand Ole Opry website. By using the code "OPRYPINK," $5 of the ticket price will be donated to Women Rock for the Cure and the Greater Nashville affiliate of Susan G. Komen For The Cure.
