Carrie Underwood has a number of her fellow artists endorsing her for CMA Entertainer of the Year -- and the support has her a bit emotional. During a recent sit-down interview with The Ty Bentli Show, Underwood reflected on the vocal support lent by Miranda Lambert and her peers.

Lambert first spoke out via Instagram, arguing Underwood’s case after praising her all-male field of competitors: Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, Eric Church and Chris Stapleton. "She never wavers in who she is or what she stands for. She has stayed true and pushed herself to be better," Lambert said of Underwood in that post.

More recently, Lambert has explained her stance on-air to Taste of Country Nights and Kix Brooks' American Country Countdown radio shows, noting that she "felt compelled" to say something in support of Underwood. "To me, the Entertainer of the Year is who’s represented the genre in every way the best for that year,” Lambert told Brooks, as reported by Nash Country Daily. “I just felt like, as a whole, with her tour and everything she encompasses and what she’s represented for country music, she deserves it."

After Bentli played the American Country Countdown audio for Underwood, the Entertainer of the Year nominee was truly at a loss for words. "First, I’m kind of emotional,” Underwood admitted.

“It’s a nomination for all of us," she continued. "It would definitely be, ya know, not just a win for all of the things that we’ve been doing, all that stuff that [Miranda] mentioned that I’m so lucky and blessed enough to do, but you know, you watch other women in this industry do the same thing, you know, it’s ... I don’t know what I’m trying to say.”

Underwood's 2019 tourmates Runaway June are also supporting the country star for Entertainer of the Year. "She's incredible. That tour was unbelievable. She had one of the most expensive, state-of-the-art light shows in the touring world at this time," the trio's Naomi Cooke says. "She's an excellent performer and entertainer. She's a superstar."

Underwood is the first woman to be nominated in the category of Entertainer of the Year since 2016; if she wins, she'll be the first female artist to do so since Taylor Swift won the title in 2011. While Lambert isn't nominated alongside Underwood in the Entertainer of the Year category, the two performers are both up for Female Vocalist of the Year.

In addition to her nominations at this year's awards show, Underwood will return to co-host the event. She'll share those duties with Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton, as part of the Country Music Association's efforts to spotlight iconic women during the 2019 ceremony.

The 2019 CMA Awards are set for Nov. 13. The show will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on ABC beginning at 8PM ET.
