Carrie UnderwoodCarrie Underwood was thrown an impromptu bridal shower on Monday, with dozens of her peers and hundreds of her fans in attendance. The "shower" happened during the annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge, courtesy of After MidNite With Blair Garner and his celebrity team. As Carrie made her way to home plate to start the third inning, the radio host called the singer and her fiancé, Ottawa Senators star Mike Fisher, to the mound.

"Every single member of our team is graciously bestowing upon you your own special gifts for your bridal shower," Blair explained, as his team made their way out of the dugout with gift bags in hand for happy couple.

"Keep in mind that I do have a bat in my possession!" Carrie joked, appearing very nervous about what was to come.

She was presented everything from a bouquet of artificial purple flowers from Melissa Peterman, a box of Crunch & Munch from Keith Anderson, cups from Gloriana, bowls from David Nail, an apron and oven mitt from The Oak Ridge Boys and towels from Chuck Wicks. But it was Josh Thompson's gift that elicited the biggest laughs from the audience at Nashville's Greer Stadium: "Congratulations," Josh said to Carrie upon presenting his gift. "This is a cutting board ... for the maid!"

As Blair gave the couple one last congratulations and welcomed Mike to the country music family, the softball game continued with Carrie's team (Grand Ole Opry) losing to the After MidNite team, 15 - 10. Read The Boot's recap of the star-studded show here.
