Carrie Underwoois set to perform a special tribute during the 65th Annual Emmy Awards.

Six-time Emmy nominee Don Cheadle will host the tribute to 1963’s television milestones with Underwood, highlighting the television coverage of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination on Nov. 22 of that year, as well as the Beatles’ legendary performance on 'The Ed Sullivan Show' on Feb. 9, 1964 -- just 80 days later.

The Emmy segment will explore the connections between those two events, which are widely ranked as two of the most legendary in television history. Underwood will follow Cheadle with a performance paying homage to the music of the era. The country superstar told fans about the performance via Twitter.

The 65th Annual Emmy Awards will air Sunday (Sept. 22) at 8PM ET on CBS.
