Bucky Covington has new music to share with his fans. The Season 5 American Idol contestant has released a brand-new single, "I Feel Ya," in advance of his upcoming new EP, Happy Man.

“This project means a lot to me as an independent artist,” Covington says in a statement. “The good part is that there’s no one telling me what songs to pick, and the bad part is no one is there to tell me what songs to pick or paying for making the music, so all the risk is on me. That said, I hope everyone loves it as much as I do!”

Happy Man will be Covington's first new set of tunes in three years -- but it's been a busy time for the artist. The North Carolina native signed with a new management and booking agency last year, F3 Entertainment, and also welcomed his new daughter, Kennedy Taylor.

“Katherine came and threw a pregnancy test in front of me — three of them actually — and they all said the same thing. The only problem was, I didn’t know what they were! I was like, ‘What is this? Are you okay?’” Covington recalls. “So she told me, and I got so excited!”

Happy Man is set for release on July 14; see a complete track listing below. Fans who pre-order the EP on iTunes will get an immediate free download of "I Feel Ya," which you can listen to below.
