It's been more than five years since Bubba Sparxxx and Rodney Atkins first started talking about working together, and those talks have finally become the new single, 'Right,' from Sparxxx' latest album, 'Pain Management.'

The song's main message is about hoping to someday get it all right in life, and it's that message that Atkins says made him sign on to the project.

"Bubba and I first met in 2006 in North Carolina, and we started talking about working together then," Atkins says in a press release. "When he called me with this song, it just made sense. Music, no matter the genre, is a universal language and this song says something worthwhile."

“It was important that Rodney and I collaborated on a song with a strong message we both believe in, which is the case with ‘Right,’” Sparxxx adds. “And just like it relates to the both of us, I think it will relate to each listener in some way. We all have some aspect of our life we want to get ‘right.’"

Throughout the process of creating the single, both artists wanted to play up their individual strengths without infringing on the other's talents.

"Rodney and I stayed true to who we are as people and artists. He's not rapping and I'm not singing," Sparxxx says. "Not to mention, Rodney is one of the most down to earth, genuine people I've ever had the privilege of working with.”

The pair also filmed a video for the song.

Both the single and 'Pain Management,' which also features a collaboration with Colt Ford, are available on iTunes and Amazon.
