Brett Eldredge performed his latest single, "Somethin' I'm Good At," live for the first time at the 2017 ACM Awards on Sunday night (April 2) in Las Vegas, Nev. Eldredge started out his performance in a VIP area of T-Mobile Arena, sauntering through a crowd of people and Sin City acts before landing in the main arena to finish the song.

Poking fun at himself through a song that Eldredge says is "full of life and excitement," Eldredge wrote "Somethin' I'm Good At" with Tom Douglas, as an honest look into what Eldredge is really like.

"We’re all just people; we’re all just having fun," Eldredge told The Boot of the inspiration for the song. "I wanted to remind people of that. In the end, that becomes endearing; that makes somebody smile. There’s somebody out there that’s going to like you and love you for the crazy mess that you are. That’s what I’m always looking for, and that’s why I wrote the song, and I finally found something I’m good at. That’s what it’s all about.

The singer says that some lighthearted fun was the goal of the song from the very beginning.

“It’s exciting to write and record a song that captures this side of me,” Eldredge adds. “I hope it puts a smile on your face when you hear it as you’re driving down the road or unloading the dishwasher or whatever you’re doing, I just hope it makes you happy.”

"Somethin' I'm Good At" will appear on Eldredge's upcoming fourth studio album, set for release this summer. The record follows the country singer's 2016 Christmas album, Glow.
