Christmas in August? Brett Eldredge's fans might feel that way! The singer announced via Instagram late Wednesday night (Aug. 17) that he's got a holiday album in the works.

"GET READY," Eldredge posted on his Instagram account, along with a string of Santa and Christmas tree emojis. The accompanying teaser clip features studio footage of Eldredge recording his new album with a full brass band and lots of fun behind the scenes.

"One time, and one time only, do you cut your very first Christmas album, and it's happening right now, right here, and you better be ready," the country singer says as his smooth, Frank Sinatra-esque version of "Let It Snow" plays over the footage.

In a longer clip, which Eldredge shared on Twitter, the artist reveals that musicians who have played with Bruce Springsteen, Sting and Prince are working on the project with him; according to a press release, the disc was recorded at New York City's Avatar Studios, and produced by Rob Mounsey and Jay Newland. That clip also notes that the album will include "timeless classics and one original song" from Eldredge, a song called "Glow," according to the release.

"I’ve been inspired for this record from a very young age. I dreamt of the day I could record all these classic songs that I’ve loved since I was a little kid," Eldredge says in the press release. "Everyone was so inspired to make this classic record. I think it really shows in the songs, and I can’t wait for people to hear that magic we found.”

Eldredge's Christmas album isn't the only holiday-themed country album that fans can get excited about this year, either: Kacey Musgraves, Rascal Flatts and Chris Young all have plans to release Christmas albums in 2016.

Eldredge is currently serving as an opening act on Keith Urban‘s 2016 Ripcord World Tour. His most recent album, Illinois, released in September, is available for download on iTunes.
