Making his way to the front from the middle of the crowd while handing out multi-colored roses to attendees in the audience, Brett Eldredge took to the 51st Annual ACM Awards stage to perform “Drunk on Your Love."

Eldredge breathlessly performed the song, his fifth consecutive No. 1 single, with plenty of intensity.

“It's not in the whiskey, tequila or the wine / It's all about the touch and the fire in your eyes," Eldredge sang. "It gets me fumbling always stumbling through a haze / I got plenty to do just laying here with you all day.”

"Drunk on Your Love" is a "special one" for Eldredge; “I wrote this song back before I had one No. 1, let alone five! I always wanted it to be a single one day," he says.

According to Eldredge, “Drunk on Your Love” was written a few years ago. When he played it for his good friend and Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard’s then-girlfriend Haley Stommel, the couple loved the song so much that they decided to use it in their wedding festivities months later.

The high-energy performance, featuring the artist darting across the stage, concluded as Eldredge (and the audience) were covered in a shower of confetti as the house lights went down.
