The rumors are true! Brad Paisley has officially signed on to be a part of the new ABC reality TV talent show, 'Rising Star.'

The singer will join host Josh Groban and fellow experts Ludacris and Kesha on the ground-breaking series, which is the first-ever interactive music competition. Contestants on 'Rising Star' will sing on a translucent floor-to-ceiling LED screen, which allows them to see how many votes they are accumulating while still performing on stage. Each contestant needs to receive a certain number of votes before the screen is lifted, so they can see both the live audience members, as well as the expert panel.

The show is still several weeks from its debut, but Paisley already knows how he will approach each potential star.

"I think being honest is a key thing, but finding a funny way to say things would be good," he tells People magazine. "Humor fixes anything. I like to laugh at anything that's going on so I'll probably be doing that to my own fault. I'll probably be sticking my foot in my mouth here and there."

'Rising Star' will premiere on June 22 at 9PM ET.

Paisley's latest album, 'Moonshine in the Trunk' will be released on Aug. 26. The 'River Bank' singer kicked off his Country Nation World Tour over the weekend, which will head to St. Louis, Chicago and San Diego this summer. See a list of all of his upcoming shows here.

The tour includes a very special appearance at the 2014 Taste of Country Music Festival, which takes place from June 13-15 at Hunter Mountain in New York. Other headliners at the three-day country music and camping festival include Dierks Bentley, Brantley Gilbert and Hank Williams, Jr.
