Brad Paisley is the first country artist announced as a performer for the upcoming People's Choice Awards.

The singer, who is not nominated in any category this year, joins previously announced performers Sara Bareilles and OneRepublic, with more artists expected to be announced shortly.

Blake Shelton leads the pack of country nominees with three nods, for Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Country Artist and Favorite Album, for 'Based On a True Story...'

Other country artists nominated for a trophy include Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift. The People's Choice Awards cover a variety of categories in entertainment, including music, TV,  and film.
