Brad Paisley has announced the latest single from his 2014 No.1 album, Moonshine in the Trunk. The singer says "Country Nation," will officially be released to radio on Sept. 14.

With lines like, "We're mountaineers, we're volunteers / We're the tide that rolls, we're Seminoles / We're the herd, the long steer / We drive Ford and Chevrolet, cheer 24 and 88 / We crank up our music Friday nights / On two thousand country stations / Yeah we're one big country nation, that's right," the song fits perfectly on the 15-track album.

“You know that feeling you get in the middle of the week of ‘I can’t do anything right’ or ‘It’s not going my way?’ But every week ends with a Friday, and that’s where we excel, I think, at country music,” Paisley explains. “I see people at the end of long weeks. That’s when I have my therapy session with them. I stand there, looking out at them, and they’re like, ‘Can you help erase what my boss said to me on Wednesday?’ That’s our job. And it flavored a lot of the record that way."

Paisley intentionally focused on recording positive songs for his latest album. "For everything that’s going on, I felt like we were at a hopeful time in our country,” Paisley adds. “I’m sick of feeling like we’re in a decline. Let’s look at the good.” The West Virginia native announced plans to take a break from his 2015 Crushin’ It World Tour to embark on a college tour this fall -- an appropriate trek considering "Country Nation" mentions 18 college teams. The school tour kicks off on Sept. 6 in Blacksburg, Va. A list of all of his upcoming dates is available on his website.

"Country Nation" is available for download on iTunes.
