Brad Paisley’s ‘American Saturday Night’ Climbs to No. 1
Brad Paisley has hit the top of the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart with his latest smash, 'American Saturday Night.' The chart-topper has earned Brad a spot in the record books -- it's his 12th consecutive No. 1 hit and the 16th of his career, based on airplay. That means he's second only to Sonny James as the solo country artist with the most consecutive No. 1 singles in country music history!
'American Saturday Night' is the third hit and title track of Brad's current album, so we know it's special to him, but he also says he knows why that particular night is everyone's favorite. "The one night of the week, really, when everybody is willing to be entertained and ready to let loose, and sort of forget about whatever's goin' on is Saturday. Friday's great, too. Sunday, they're ready to go back to work. Thursday, you've got to get up still on Friday and go to work. But Saturday night, you're free and clear. You had a day off all day, and something about that really does appeal to me."
Brad has a special American Wednesday Night lined up. He's set to visit ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live tomorrow night (Feb. 17), followed by a stop in Fresno, Calif., on Thursday.
