Want to welcome the new year with Blake Shelton? You may not be able to be standing with him at midnight, but you will see him on NBC's New Year's Eve With Carson Daly TV special.

Broadcast live from New York City’s Times Square, New Year's Eve With Carson Daly will help viewers ring in 2017 with performances from Shelton, as well as from his The Voice counterpart Alicia Keys and a cappella group Pentatonix.

“New Year’s Eve is always a thrilling night to broadcast live from Times Square,” Daly says (quote via People). “The excitement of the ball dropping, great music and millions of friends and families coming together to celebrate is incomparable.”

Daly adds, “This will be my 14th year on NBC ringing in the new year in Times Square, and there’s no place I’d rather be.”

Shelton's final performance of 2016 may not be his biggest of the year, though: The "A Guy With a Girl" singer performed with girlfriend Gwen Stefani at Barack Obama’s final State Dinner in October; the two sang an acoustic version of of “Go Ahead and Break My Heart."

In January, Shelton will join his good buddy Luke Bryan in Mexico for Crash My Playa 2017, and he'll hit the road with RaeLynn for his Doin’ It to Country Songs Tour. That trek kicks off Feb. 16 in Bakersfield, Calif.
