Blake Shelton has been named an ambassador to JCPenney's newly enacted JCP Cares program, which partners with a new charitable cause each month. The program raises funds for select charities by inviting customers to donate by rounding their purchases up to the nearest dollar.

The USO -- which is dedicated to "lifting the spirits of America's troops and their families" -- is the first charity to partner with the company. To celebrate the launch, JCP Cares is providing complimentary tickets to Blake's July 6 tour stop in Watertown, N.Y. to Ft. Drum soldiers and their families.

In addition to the donations that customers may elect to make to the USO this month, JCPenney will throw in an additional dollar -- up to $50,000 -- to the organization for each customer who checks in to a JCPenney location via Foursquare from July 23-31.

Upcoming charity partners for JCP Cares include the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and 4-H in August, Teach for America in September, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in October, Share our Strength in November and the Salvation Army in December.

Blake continues to tour across the U.S. this summer. Get a full list of his concert dates here.
