Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani attended Barack Obama's final State Dinner on Tuesday night (Oct. 18) -- but they weren't only there as guests: The couple performed during the event as well.

Shelton and Stefani performed an acoustic version of "Go Ahead and Break My Heart," their duet that appears on Shelton's newest album, If I'm Honest. Photos and videos on Twitter and Instagram show Shelton strumming an acoustic guitar as both he and Stefani sing on a small stage, dressed to the nines for the occasion.

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi was the guest of honor at Tuesday night's State Dinner. CNN reports that Chef Mario Batali prepared dinner for the event's 500 guests, which also included Giorgio Armani. Video on Twitter shows Stefani also performing solo; she and Shelton have performed "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" live together a number of times.

“The song’s important to us,” Shelton says, “and the fact that we wrote it together is so important to both of us.”

Shelton’s fall tour, which began with the Oklahoma City concerts, wrapped up in early October; the singer is also keeping busy filming a new season of The Voice. In January, he will join Luke Bryan in Mexico for Crash My Playa 2017.
