Blake Shelton has won the ACA for Album of the Year on Tuesday night (Dec. 10), for his latest record, 'Based on a True Story.'

The singer couldn't attend the ceremony, due to his obligations as a coach on 'The Voice,' so he shared a video announcement with his fans, expressing his gratitude for the honor.

"Thank you all so much. I am beyond honored an blessed. This particular album, 'Based on a True Story...,' seemed like an impossible album to create, but I'll tell you what, I've never worked harder on a project than I did on this one," he said.

"My heart and soul is so invested in country music. Thank you so much to you fans who voted for me. You're the reason that I have a job, and you're the reason that I do what I do. Thank you so much for this trophy. I love you all so much. Thank you to the ACAs. I love you all."
