Blake Shelton has dueted with a number of talented women over the years, but one of his favorites has been Ashley Monroe. Tonight (Nov. 5) at the 2014 CMA Awards, the pair harmonized on the mid-tempo ballad 'Lonely Tonight.'

Written by Brent Anderson and Ryan Hurd, 'Lonely Tonight' is a track from Shelton's latest album, 'Bringing Back the Sunshine.' The four-time Male Vocalist of the Year opened the performance on his own, with the Pistol Annies singer joining him midway through the tune that deals with lust and giving in to temptation.

They crooned, "I don't wanna be right, I don't wanna be strong / I just wanna hold you 'til the heartbreak's gone / When the sun comes up, we can both move on / But we don't have to be lonely tonight."

Shelton was nominated for three CMA Awards this year. He and Monroe previously sang together on 'You Ain't Dolly (and You Ain't Porter),' a track from Monroe's brilliant 2013 solo album 'Like a Rose.' They also collaborated on a 2012 cover of 'Blue Christmas' credited to Shelton and featuring the Pistol Annies.
