Despite a massive opening weekend, Clint Eastwood‘s new movie ‘American Sniper’ -- an adaption of the autobiography of Chris Kyle, who is widely known as the most lethal sniper in U.S. history -- has faced considerable criticism from everyone from Michael Moore to Seth RogenBlake Shelton, however, has some choice words not for the film but for its critics.

Monday evening (Jan. 19), Shelton tweeted that he "can't WAIT to see American Sniper!!!"

Shelton added in a follow-up tweet, "Proud to support our military.. Period," later calling the movie's critics "#truecowards."

Country artist and U.S. Army veteran Craig Morgan responded directly to Rogen's tweets on his Facebook page, calling the actor's statements "inaccurate and insensitive."
