Austin Webb is using his talents to help a cause close to his heart. The singer will participate in the Second Annual Autism Sings! benefit on Oct. 1 in Nashville.

"One of my many jobs growing up was doing carpet cleaning. I was sent out to clean the carpet of this one house… and that is where I had my first encounter with an autistic child,” Webb explains. “I never felt she was ill, I just felt she was special and misunderstood. From that day on I wanted to help autistic children."

The South Carolina native joins an all-star cast of performers, including Gloriana, Bucky Covington, Billy Dean and gospel artist Jaci Velasquez.

“We are so excited to host this event for the second year, featuring such an amazing lineup of artists and musicians, who are so graciously giving their time and talent to support such an important cause,” Autism Speaks Regional Director, Kathy Streng says (quote via Nashville.com). "Autism awareness is key to bringing the much needed acceptance this community deserves. We are very grateful for the continued outpouring of caring and generous support from this wonderful community.”

The event will be held at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.
