Annalise Emerick is set to release her first full-length album.

'Field Notes' will hit stores on Sept. 16, and Emerick says the release was inspired by her years on the road.

"I’ve grown so much in the past three years," she says. "I’ve traveled across the country playing show after show, learning new things and meeting new people, collecting stories and experiences… and that’s where these songs come from. This entire album is an amalgamation of all that. These are all stories from my travels. These are the field notes taken from my journey."

The 11-song record takes a more mature turn for Emerick, who released her most recent EP, 'Starry Eyed' -- which debuted at No. 9 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart -- in 2011.

"To me 'Field Notes' still sounds like Annalise, but a grown-up Annalise who’s lived a little longer," Emerick says. "These are songs born out of being out in the world and experiencing life. These are songs about love, dreams, childhood friends... stories I’ve picked up from traveling... and even though these stories are my own, by sharing them, I hope they can become everyone else's, too."
