Merry Christmas, indeed! Amy Grant has announced plans to release a brand-new holiday album this October.

Tennessee Christmas is set for release on Oct. 21 and will be the first all-new holiday release from Grant in just about 20 years. The album will include 13 tracks, giving fans some original music in addition to Grant's take on well-known holiday classics.

Grant recorded Tennessee Christmas in her home studio, with Mac McAnally, Marshall Altman and Ed Cash serving as producers.

"I've loved traveling the world with my guitar, but my favorite musical memories have happened right here at home around Christmastime with family and friends," Grant says. "I hope we've captured some of that magic to share with all of you this holiday season!"

Throughout her career, Grant has sold more that 6 million Christmas albums, and all of her holiday projects have been certified gold or platinum by the RIAA.

Keeping in the holiday spirit, Grant and husband Vince Gill have signed up to return to the Ryman Auditorium for a Christmas residency in December; details are available at Ryman.com. Fans can also visit Grant's official website for details on her upcoming holiday shows with Michael W. Smith and Jordan Smith.
