The Americana Music Festival & Conference unites legendary artists, rising stars, industry professionals and avid music fans for a four-day celebration recognizing the best in Americana roots music. Set for Oct. 12-15 in Nashville, the 12th annual gathering promises to be one of the biggest in event history.

Fan favorites Radney Foster and Bill Lloyd are set to appear as a full-fledged duo following Foster & Lloyd's 21-year creative hiatus. Earlier this year, the talented twosome released their latest studio album, 'It's Already Tomorrow,' crediting the genre for the project's instant success. "We're lucky we have plenty of residual goodwill after 20 years," Bill tells The Boot. Foster & Lloyd are set to perform Oct. 12 at Mercy Lounge.

The Civil Wars, Lori McKenna, Marty Stuart, Connie Smith, Mountain Heart, Hayes Carll and Matraca Berg are among the artists who have joined the all-star lineup, with a diverse group of more than 100 performers scheduled to play at five different venues in the vicinity of downtown Nashville. Full-access showcase wristbands are available for $50 on the Americana Music Association's official website. Click here to view the entire performance schedule.

The Americana Music Awards ceremony will be held at the Ryman Auditorium on Oct. 13 as part of the four-day celebration. As we reported earlier this year, Robert Plant and Elizabeth Cook lead this year's list of nominees, with three nods each. Lucinda Williams, Gregg Allman and Jerry Douglas are among this year's recipients of special honors.

Lucinda, who will also perform during the evening's festivities, is being honored for her songwriting accomplishments, while Gregg will be recognized for his achievements as a performer. Jerry, a member of Alison Krauss' Union Station band, is being acknowledged for his master musicianship. Also being honored: Rick Hall, an award-winning producer known for his involvement for the creation of the Muscle Shoals, Ala., musical sound, will receive the Association's Jack Emerson Award. And former journalist and BBC radio host, Bob Harris will receive the Trail Blazer Award.

Jim Lauderdale will host the-star studded event, with Justin Townes Earle, the Secret Sisters and Band of Joy already confirmed as guests.
