AmericanaFest 2015 is already shaping up to have an impressive lineup. Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen, Lee Ann WomackJames McMurtry, Patty Griffin and Los Lobos are just a few of the artists scheduled to appear at this year's annual event, set to take place Sept. 15-20 in Nashville.

In addition to being a conference with panels and seminars for artists, radio stations, publishers, agents and more, the event also brings together well-known acts with rising stars.

“Someone told me they appreciated what we do because we put unknown artists before people with the same energy as we do our biggest stars,” AMA Executive Director Jed Hilly says. “I think there is a sense within the community that it’s about mastering a craft. It’s about musicianship and great songwriting ... There’s a uniqueness to the artists, and I think the organization supports that. We’re not corporate-dominated. That’s pretty apparent. We curate our festival and conference lineup. It’s not label showcases.”

This won't be Womack's first appearance at AmericanaFest. The event remains one of her favorite places to play.

"It’s really nice to see fellow musicians and like-minded music lovers," Womack tells Nashville Lifestyles. "My favorite moments are when I run into these guys and when I’m able to work with these guys — because it feels like home."

Other artists slated to appear include Whitey Morgan and the 78s, honeyhoney, John Moreland, Andrew Combs, Nikki Lane, Pokey LaFarge, Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn, Nora Jane Struthers, Billy Bragg and Joe Purdy, Jackie Greene, Lera Lynn, Mary Gauthier and many more.

Tickets are currently available for the entire conference, or wristbands can be purchased for $50 to attend the nightly showcases. Find more information, including the artist lineup and ticket purchase information, at AmericanaMusic.org.
