5 Americana, Alt-Country and Folk Artists We Can’t Wait to See at SXSW 2016

For the last few decades, rabid fans and basically the entire music industry have descended upon Austin, Texas, for the annual South By Southwest Music and Media Conference and Festival -- or, as normal people refer to it, SXSW. The music portion of this year's installment is set to take place March 15-20 and will feature somewhere around a bazillion live performances from up-and-coming artists and well-established veterans, spanning every single musical genre known to man.

Sure, you can just fly to Austin, walk out of the airport and get instantly consumed with a never-ending wealth of live music, but The Boot's staff feels it necessary to at least attempt to point you in the right direction. With that in mind, we've selected a few of the Americana, alt-country and folk artists that we can't wait to see at SXSW 2016.
