The Golden Boot Awards are back!

The Boot's fan-voted digital awards return in 2015 for a second year, and this time around, we've added two new categories -- New Artist of the Year and the Living Legend Award -- in addition to our five original categories: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Music Video of the Year and Live Act of the Year. Each category features staff-selected nominees who made waves in the country music world from May 2014 through April 2015. Let's take a look at this year's Album of the Year nominees.

The sixth studio album from Jason Aldean, Old Boots, New Dirt, debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA in December. Songs like "Burnin' It Down" and "Tonight Looks Good on You," which highlight Aldean's rock, country and R&B influences, round out this record.

Kenny Chesney's The Big Revival is his 16th studio album and features the singles "Wild Child," "American Kids" and "'Til It's Gone." It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

Sam Hunt's freshman offering, Montevallo, was a grand slam. He co-wrote all 10 tracks on the album, which debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 3 and on the Top Country Albums chart at No. 1. Plus, the record's lead single, "Leave the Night On," reached No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts, making him the first artist in 22 years to reach the top of three country charts at the same time.

Anything Goes is a 12-track record from Florida Georgia Line featuring hits like "Dirt" and "Sippin' on Fire." While in keeping with the familiar FGL sound, the duo's sophomore album branched into deeper territory, and fans responded positively, with the album debuting on the Billboard 200 at No. 1.

Miranda Lambert's Platinum marked her fifth consecutive No. 1 debut -- the first time an artist has achieved that distinction. She was duly rewarded with Album of the Year at the 2014 CMA Awards and 2015 ACM Awards and Best Country Album at the 2015 Grammy Awards. Standout songs include "Automatic," "Little Red Wagon" and "Somethin' Bad," the latter of which is a duet with Carrie Underwood.

Reba McEntire released her 27th studio album, Love Somebody, on April 14, 2015, on her new label, Nash Icon. This disc is the legend's first studio record since 2010's All the Women I Am. It was her 12th album to chart at No. 1 and features her hit single "Going Out Like That."
