At last year's CMA AwardsMiranda Lambert's Platinum was the winner of Album of the Year, which is given to the artist and the producer. But this time around, there's a brand-new roster of artists nominated for the big prize. Who do you think will come out ahead?

Jason Aldean's Old Boots, New Dirt is his sixth studio album, and his efforts were well rewarded. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Aldean's second record to top that chart; it was also certified platinum in December. Old Boots, New Dirt contains four singles: "Burnin' It Down," "Just Gettin' Started," "Tonight Looks Good on You" and "Gonna Know We Were Here."

Another contender for Album of the Year is Kacey Musgraves' Pageant Material. It's admittedly less traditional, but with several Grammys under her belt, Musgraves has proved that her brand of country can win awards. The singer-songwriter's sophomore disc was released in June, with her smart songwriting on display.

Pain Killer by Little Big Town is the group's sixth studio album, and they wrote 8 of its 13 tracks. "Day Drinking," "Pain Killer" and, of course, "Girl Crush" are the singles from the record. LBT is the only group nominated in this important CMA Awards category this year.

The Big Revival is Kenny Chesney's 16th studio offering. All four singles from the record -- "American Kids," "'Til It's Gone," "Wild Child" and "Save It for a Rainy Day" -- have hit No. 1, and the album itself debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. It also peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, showing that country fans aren't the only ones in love with the singer's sound.

Chris Stapleton was a surprise nomination, but his album Traveller is certainly deserving of recognition. To be nominated for Album of the Year for your debut album is a huge deal, and to have three nods at the CMAs means you're doing something right. Stapleton's record debuted on the Top Country Albums chart at No. 2 and the Billboard 200 at No. 14. He's the only newcomer on this list.
