Alan Jackson is joining forces with Ply Gem Industries to help build 300-plus homes throughout the United States with Habitat for Humanity. The country star has signed on as the official ambassador for Ply Gem's Home for Good Project.

Ply Gem Industries is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products in North America. Their Home for Good Project, a multi-year initiative, will include a donation to Habitat for Humanity of more than $1 million worth of building products and funds as well as sponsorship of Habitat's Home Builders Blitz program, which brings together the non-profit and professional builders to build and renovate homes.

As the Home for Good Project ambassador, Jackson will help raise awareness for Habitat for Humanity and support a Nashville-area Home Builders Blitz around the time of the 2016 CMA Music Festival.

“I’m honored to partner with Ply Gem and Habitat for Humanity on their goal to build 300 homes,” Jackson says in a press release. “Everyone deserves a place they can call home.”

The country icon's song "You Can Always Come Home" will also be the Home for Good Project's official anthem.

“When you’re a parent, if you have kids, [no matter] how old they are, you’re always going to take them in and take care of them, or whatever, so they always feel like they have a net,” Jackson says of the inspiration for the tune. “And so, when [my daughter] Ali left to [move to California], I wrote this song, and that’s kind of what it’s about, really.”

To kick off the Home for Good Project, Ply Gem and Jackson will be giving two grand prize contest winners airfare for two to spend the holidays with family. More information on the "You Can Always Come Home" for the Holidays contest is available here.

“We are grateful to Ply Gem and Alan Jackson for their commitment to raise awareness and make Builder Blitz a success,” says Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International. “In addition to providing home exterior products for Builders Blitz, Ply Gem’s communications efforts well in advance of the event will help connect more people to our mission of providing a foundation for families to build strength, stability and independence.”
