Alan Jackson has released the lyric video for his new song, 'A Million Ways to Die.'

The song is the new theme some for the soon to be released film 'A Million Ways to Die in the West,' which hits theaters on May 30. The film was directed by Seth MacFarlane, who reached out to Jackson personally to record the tune.

The video for the song includes a number of deaths, with the gore included, done in spectacular fashion. Uncharacteristically for Jackson, the song includes some strong language as well. But the setting is meant to be light-hearted to go along with the themes in the film, which features a star-studded cast that includes MacFarlane, Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried, Giovanni Ribisi, Sarah Silverman and Neil Patrick Harris.

Jackson's latest album, 'The Bluegrass Album,' has had a successful run since its release last fall.

“I’m just a fan of the music,” he says. “I didn’t want to do something that disappointed the bluegrass world. I didn’t want ‘em to think I’m just another country act wanting to make a bluegrass album. I really wanted to try to write some songs that were a decent approach from a bluegrass perspective, and same way with the production and everything.”

The 'A Million Ways to Die in the West' soundtrack will be available for purchase May 27. Jackson's 'The Bluegrass Album' is available on Amazon.
